Going to make mabo tofu later. My and my parents’ lack of Mandarin to English translations for Chinese food means that I only spot my childhood favorites when I see pictures resembling the dish. I’m only assuming that this is the same tofu-and-ground-pork dish my mom cooks, so we’ll see after I make it (sadly, from a box since I didn’t want to go out and buy black bean / chili paste / that weird barbecue sauce my mom uses in a lot of her cooking whose English name I don’t know). I’d also looove to make some steamed egg with pork on top, but I don’t have a rice cooker.
